Interesting looking at the match predictions thread on the Silkmen's forum. Generally they don't appear too confident, with only 7 going for a Macca win, 7 for a draw and 10 going for a Harriers win. Hope the latter are correct.

Well, predictions had to be entered before the season had began, and of course the results in the friendlies weren't to be taken too seriously ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, :oops2:

I think the start to the season has come as something of a surprise, I certainly didn't see three clean sheets - (that would never have happened under Sir Steven of Burr0 - so maybe confidence was a little fragile.

I must admit that I'm more confident now than I was when I made my prediction for this game - and I think I'm going to be wrong in forecasting a Macca win (1-0),,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, :oops2:

Though I do have us to win against Chester :wall:

:red_army:

EDIT I thought you meant Harriers predictions,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,DOH :stupid2:

In Builth Wells for the 'No-Bull' bike fest, so Macc will have to miss me.

...and I'll get it in the neck on Monday as its a early start to get the tent down and get back for the Chester game!!

I'll take a 0-0.

I won't be able to make this one but will rely on the regular mobile phone updates from Lancaster who will be there.

Nope, taking the car this year , as I have other people's tents taking and I'm putting up on Friday all ready for them to arrive after finishing work on the Friday evening.

Six bands a night on at the farm Fri/Sat/Sunday and the beer bus takes us all into the town during the day for more music and refreshment!

Purely an observation that Burr's Harriers couldn't keep a clean sheet - relevant in the context of my comment in that most people would have been a little surprised by not conceding a goal so far, it was in no any way a criticism of Burr - but obviously you felt it was and had to rush to his defence.

We haven't conceded many at all under Gary Whild since he took over. Nine clean sheets, one conceded on seven occasions, no more than that. Just the one defeat (home to Grimsby).

Unfortunately, I am working for both Macc and Chester. I will take 4 points now but it is about time we started winning away !!

Well our boys in the Prediction League have spoken. 10 are going for a Harriers win, 10 for the draw with a further 8 suggesting a win for the Silkmen. Reid just edges ahead of others in being nominated Harriers opening scorer. However, we need to remember that these predictions were made before a ball was kicked on the opening day.
It would be interesting to see how our punters would have gone after our first 3 results. Anyway, let's hope for a further 3 points v Chester on Monday.

By the sounds of it a resilient performance from Harriers, and might have nicked it with a little more luck - once again sounded like Lewis had a comfortable time with little to do.

I would imagine there will be changes against Chester - just to keep the squad on it's toes.

I guess both Gittings & Byrne will start and maybe Gash and/or Styche.

Interested to hear how Grimes played - as it sounded like he had a stormer.

Roll on Monday

Storer was horrific today. Easily our worst player.......shouldn't be anywhere near starting on Monday.

Had a few half chances, but largely lacked creativity, Verma and Obeng look promising.

Macclesfield offered very little, even though we did our best to give them as much time and space as they wanted in the second half!
