Post by garthrockett » Mon May 16, 2016 9:07 am

Didn't we play them in the FA Trophy one year?
Something to watch once Ingerland get dumped out of the Euros .......

There was Redbridge Forest who merged with Dagenham Town to make Dag and Red. Redbridge Forest were in the conference for a year before merging... a nice way for Dagenham to get into the conf.

Its a Craig Cash written series so should be funny (??) and he's a Man City fan, so comic irony should come relatively easy.......

Looks like it might have a touch of "Early Doors" about it. Could be half decent.

If it is anything like as good as Early Doors, I will be glued to it.

But not if it is on Sky. :(

What on Earth is Sue Johnstone doing in this dreadful thing?
No wonder it's only made it to Sky.
Lame stereotypes, jokes and observations about gays, blacks and people with special needs.
Awful, except for the club shop which is amusing.
Limited set and small cast means cheap. The biggest cost must have been bribing Cash and Johnstone to take part.

Gezzie ....sorry to be pedantic but its Sue Johnston, not Johnstone...... :;

First episode always has to establish the characters so I'll give it a chance. Its better than Miranda already.

I liked the talk of unattainable promotion to Evostik Premier and the dream of playing the likes Frickley......"Oh, Frickley got plexi glass dug outs...its a different world, man........" :)

I liked it to be honest. I'm waiting for the Lord K and Nemesis characters to appear though. Helicopter to Stevenage anyone?? :worthy:

You misunderstand Jim.....here at Rockett Towers I use the british standard approved scale of hilarity where Miranda scores a 0 and
pretty much everything after that (i.e. with 'a joke' in it) gets scored up to 10 max.

That's acceptable then Garth, sorry for casting aspersions on your televisual character.
