Massive summer ahead. Some
No where near good enough others on decent money I suspect but nkt worth keeping given value for money.
Last two summers decision making has been piss poor. Surely lightening can’t take a hattrick

Man, after a decent start to my first year having a go, I fell away massively after Christmas with this Didn't even make the top half in the end.andrewb wrote: ↑Sat Apr 20, 2024 2:25 pmprediction league FINAL PLACINGS -

Bottom of the league for me.
Appropriately enough as I never predict a defeat.
And I may have missed the odd month.
I will continue my optimistic predictions next season.

Thank you, thank you everyone.
Can I thank my team for their hard work. My grandmother who died 50 years ago but most of all my agent and the brown envelope I gave him.

Were those who are criticising Ox at the game today?
The best team we ever had- since i've been watching the Harriers (2002-)

As I said on the Predictions League thread, the feeling of elation at finishing joint Champion of the Predictions League is not quite the same as the feeling of winning at Brackley last year, but I'll take it!
Thanks to Andrew for running the competition this year (and doing a far, far better job than the FA!), and congrats to Phil too.
I will wear my Winner's medal with pride this summer.

Really good interview from Brown in the circumstances I thought.
Anyone else thinking Matt Preston may have played his last game for us today? References to errors from the senior pro...
Couldn't make it or watch it, but sounds like we at least had a bit of a go second half?!

I think given his injuries and imagine he’s a high earner he’ll be off.
Talk of Halesowen in for hemmings and Tamworth for zac brown. I’d happily drive brown there myself
Also think they’ll try and move gold on e obviously doesn’t rate him otherwise would have played
Jet Palmer Pearce and Lissimore id be very surprised to see here next season
Second half a bit better tho Barnet took the foot off a little bit. Ams hit the post, hemmings did his Lingard impression going for the rebound and messing it up. Ox missed a good chance too. We didn’t have a shot on target first half. Aside from a free kick which weston his wide we didn’t look threatening.

Thanks to Harry once again for this, possibly his last for two seasons, report. Because we're only on loan down there in the North.
I'm very grateful for all Harry has done, along with a couple of others, in supplying reports for me and easing the task immensely.
Thanks to all that have helped out and all those that have stuck with the Harriers too. You've been magnificent.

By Hemmo's reaction at the end of the game I think he's played his last game for the club.

Wasn't happy was he?
I think that due to PB's contract possibly ending in 5 days time that he has already done the retained list. Matty Preston also received criticism in the post match interview and he didn't look happy either.

Re: MotM: 20-04-24 Barnet (A)
Thanks so much Phil, very kind of you. Sadly I imagine I'll make far fewer away games next season. Alas.
The game was pretty abject with very few redeeming features. An odd lineup but for a dead-rubber game it's acceptable. Rubio, Hall and Bishop didn't disgrace themselves at least and I was really pleased to see Charlie Weston get a goal. I've got a feeling he'll go and play at a much higher level.
I think others are right about Hemmo's reaction at the final whistle. Either it's his last game for us, or he's not certain he'll be here next season. After today's game I hold even less of a strong opinion than before, and I was on the fence anyway.
What I would say is that the performance and result today did make me wonder even more about the idea of Brown staying on long term. Another loss, one win in nine. To emphasise what I said last time, if you take away the phenomenal start that he had, have things really improved? I'm not sure. Barnet were okay today, but not 3-1 or 4-1 better (the fourth was very unlucky for Bishop IMO). Thompson my MOTM, a real bright spark in the first half. Promising for next season, but then again, we may remember that Southport game when we got relegated last time - some players who were good that day didn't kick another ball for us!
As for the criticism for Ox, he wasn't any worse than anyone else and certainly played better than a few. I worry he's fallen victim to the O'Keefe scapegoating, a convenient player for a kicking because he's associated to us not playing well.
Onwards to the summer. We need a complete revamp and some hope. Let's hope wheover it is that comes in can deliver it.
