I thought the Palmer lad from the baggies would be a better prospect, he did well when deputising for Hornby.

Hodgkiss has done well to get a two-year deal there.

Doubt he's cheap either as he was out highest earner.

Indeedy, Macc have had a recent policy of collecting a squad together on 'non contract' terms (to keep costs down?)
the risk being they could quickly lose a big slice of the squad if any other club was interested.
