I'm a big fan of JM as a player and would love to see him stay here.

But if he does move on I think it'll be a big mistake on his part. He's far from completely proven, even at this level. I can see this all ending in tears, a la Matthew Barnes Homer.

I was never a BIG fan of JM, but do concede that Steve Burr(&Co) have brought about a massive improvement in the raw & ungainly individual that first pulled on a Harriers shirt and have at this point in his career developed a player who looks to have potential to improve further and possibly play at a higher level - BUT he is in the same position as so many others who had their heads turned and thought things would be on a plate for them at other clubs higher in the game. He ain't there yet IMO.

Just a few names to consider - Riley, MBH, Penn, Smikle, Blair (he got lucky) etc.

Not many do a Lee Hughes and end up in the Premiership

Not from Harriers anyway :rolllaugh:

I know what Your saying but at least We will have someone on the payroll that will actualy get to play in a Harriers shirt (and want to ) and kick a ball in anger for Us again as I'm not sure Jamma is going to.

I don't want Lee Hughes around Harriers again.

Ageing player, big wages and due to his recent imprisonment and his reported attitude... I want him no where near Harriers. Harriers would also be one of Lee Hughes last resorts id imagine!

Does anyone know the full picture with Jamma?... na.

Ageing striker? Have you forgot we've got Guinan on the books? I'd have Hughes back!
The best team we ever had- since i've been watching the Harriers (2002-)

'kin ell a post where Harry has said something sensible!
Hughes would get 25+ goals at this level, the sell on clauses when we sold him helped keep this club going in the mid naughties.
He will be paid to play well and score goals, which he will do so what morecan fans ask for?

ps Matt hasnt even had a good season, just a good three months. SO how can someone pick that form overaproven goal scorer from a higher level? Does he (Matt) still want to be here? Or does he think he is better than playing bsp now?
