Re: 31-01-15 Eastleigh (H)
Mixed emotions about this game.
Not convinced anymore that the dressing room is fully behind the manager, although I didn't see the Chester game, it did sound like that - and apathy had taken over, perhaps the players are beginning to share the doubts of the fans, that he simply is clueless.
As much as I want to see Harriers play well and win against Eastleigh, I fear even the return of Gowling might not be enough to
gloss over the events of the past few days.
The attitude of the players is going to be key, unfortunately Storergate will almost certainly have a negative effect on the psyche of the team as he was popular in the dressing room.
Can I stand another 90 minutes of 'Hoofball',,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Sadly you are making assumptions that those making these decisions even know what is happening, appreciate the consequences of their actions, are still in touch with reality or maybe they have overdosed on the delusional gas and will make a statement in the press along the lines of 'we can't stand in the players way so we cancelled their contracts so they could join another club.'redandwhitemike wrote:Cal's Spongebag wrote:Get your arse to Aggborough!

I am already preparing a dark room at home to sit in as it will definitely be needed if we play as badly on Saturday as we have in the last 4 home games.
I can see a group of people at the end of the season standing down saying 'We have taken the club as far as we can - it is time to hand over to someone else.' It isn't really the mess we are in that gets to me it is the fact that in August I foolishly had so much hope.

This is going to be a mighty tight one (now where have I heard that before? ) but the Predictions Leaguers are still fairly confident ahead of tomorrow's match. 11 have gone for a Harriers win, 5 reckon it'll be a draw, whereas another 5 have gone for an Eastleigh win.
Reid just heads a couple of other nominees as being the most likely opening scorer for the Reds, but.... will he even be playing?
N.B. Mike and drpaine need to change their nominated scorer as neither Styche or Stoz are with us anymore.

Re: 31-01-15 Eastleigh (H)
despite all the grumblings and concerns this week-
Its a Saturday afternoon match, a chance to both get out the house and to avoid a trek around the shops trailing behind 'her-indoors'.
- and the potential to enjoy a seven-goal thriller in a mud bath with hopefully a couple of sendings-off and a chance to heckle the opposition keeper or their portly physio.
A pint after the match too.
whats not to like about a Saturday??

This is exactly the kind of attitude we need right now.garthrockett wrote:despite all the grumblings and concerns this week-

Won't argue with that. I will look forward to the match report to follow that script.

Re: 31-01-15 Eastleigh (H)
So we have Hughes, Wright, Spencer, Asante, Reed and Knowles up front. Have I forgotten anyone?
Who is going to start?
I doubt Reed is in with a shout and I feel Asante has not been given much of a chance, I would like to see him get a bit of a run. Spencer will probably be given a rest.
I think it will be Wright/Hughes or Wright/Knowles.
Surely Whild would not go for 433 as he will probably want two wingers chucking balls into the box.
So many options...goodness.

I think we're 1 of about 3 games in the whole of the Football League that's had their game called off, speaks volumes about the state of our playing surface. What a complete waste of money, unfortunately, it's something we're very good at !!!
