Play-Offs

Post by HarrierN2 » Tue Apr 28, 2015 2:50 pm

I've never understood why the play-offs follow on just days after the end of the season proper, giving teams no chance to rest/re-group and forcing them into 3 games in a week. It hardly seems fair on Bristol Rovers who, like us a couple of seasons back, still had a chance of automatic promotion just 72 hours before.

It looks like it'll be an exciting play-offs this season though, with 4 in-form teams. The favourites would definitely be Bristol Rovers but they could easily slip up at Forest Green in the away leg...

Grimsby is my pick.

Sounded like Forest Green should have been drubbed last night but then could have sneaked a draw...

Had a dream last night that I met Josh Gowling, and Grimsby had been tanked 5-0 at Eastleigh.

Sounds like we may have to keep you away from meeting our back four next season then!! :rolllaugh:

Hardly a great advert for Conference football, Forest Green looked poor - expect the Gas to trounce them in the second leg.

That shocking ref Swabey again.

The kick on the keeper from Clough was a red card and Swabey bottled it.
The run ten yards and bodycheck by Parkin towards the end was a red card. Swabey bottled it.

The second foul by Harrison was a yellow at the most but his earlier card made it a red. Swabey should have just reminded him that he had already been booked and not send him off.

Doubt he is that shocking, when he has been given a play off game ahead of about 25 other refs!

Take the goggles off over a few things which haven't got Harriers way over the years

I see my tip for play off success - Grimsby have just taken the lead with a unbelievable goal from Olly Palmer - CLASS.

Hurts to see Josh Gowling in black and white stripes. Class as always of course.

IMO Gowling will be missed next season - way more than any of the others that have/will depart from Harriers.

Guiseley in the Conference. Beat Chorley 3-2 after being 2-0 down at ht. Adam Boyes scored for them.

Extra time between Boreham Wood and Whitehawk with the score 1-1 after 90 minutes.

I was at Chorley yesterday. Brilliant comeback by Guiseley and well deserved after so many years of PO disappointment.

I hope they do well next season as they're a great club with potential, run by some really great people.
