Re: Adam Dawson
I doubt the budget is spent otherwise we wouldn't have players in trial, pointless exercise all round if we have no money to offer them anything.

Re: Adam Dawson
With a player like that would he want to 'pay as you play'? Sure most clubs in this league would pay full contract terms.garthrockett wrote:Non- contract terms and 'pay as you play' maybe??

Re: Adam Dawson
Put's into context the absolute shambles of giving the wannabees contracts - use up the budget and then when a player like Dawson is available GW has spent all the money,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Not sure Kiddy could have afforded him anyway - but it just shows the merits of some of the decision making.
I hope he ends up in the League and doesn't go somewhere like Wrexham or Cheltenham just because the pot was empty,,,,,,,,,

It's all part of GW's master plan,,,,,,,,,,,
It will all make sense when the season starts, although I'm struggling to understand the rationale of giving Redditch a bye in the WSC

Re: Adam Dawson
Was talking to someone at last nights match and what we couldn't work out about Dawson was the pattern of his past clubs
2011–2012
Wigan Athletic
2012
→ Accrington Stanley (loan)
2012
Bacup Borough
2012–2013
FC United of Manchester
2013
Barrow
2013
Nelson
2013–
Leicester City
2014
→ Notts County (loan)
2014
→ Nuneaton Town (loan)
2015
→ Bristol Rovers (loan)
2015
released by Leicester this summer.
He started at a Premier league club, then dropped down the leagues a long way and then ended back at a Premier league club.
He's had lots of clubs and hasn't played too many games

Why have we not offered this guy a deal yet is beyond me, I cant see Whild being stupid enough to give a lad games if we cant afford to sign him as its pointless.

We might have made him an offer weeks ago but he's weighing up his options.tonythescout wrote:Why have we not offered this guy a deal yet is beyond me, I cant see Whild being stupid enough to give a lad games if we cant afford to sign him as its pointless.

AH! yes - but you are quoted as saying the budget was spent and all gone, as I suggested the chairman has looked down the back of the sofa in the boardroom,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Re: Adam Dawson
Turns out i'd misunderstood what i'd been told. While there are no extra funds coming in and the budget is spent, it's spent following deals that have been and are due to be announced.redandwhitemike wrote:aberred wrote:Things will come good, don't worry :-)
