Player of the Season 2006-07 - Mark Creighton

Post by Phil » Sun Apr 15, 2007 10:20 pm

It's that time of the year again when we decide who's going to get the website award for Player of the Season.

It's just for those players that have played in twenty games or more so the likes of Duwaynetta Lee can't get their mucky paws on this incredible trophy.

Get voting and choose your man.

Looks like Mark Creighton won this one then.

Take your pick from the table then Mark. Not the brandy, that's mine.

I may have made a mistake by posting it on Supareds. The kindergarten are out in force.

Eventually the cream will rise to the top.

In my opinion it is either Scholesy or Bevan.
Think MY needs to sort out Bevan's contract asap, as he has been one of the best shot stoppers we've had for quite some time.

As much as I like Scholesy, I think this season he has been behind Bevan, Creighton, and Penn for certain. However, he is still one of our better players, our best source of creativity. As someone else said on another thread, when he plays, we play.

Why can't I vote for Dean Craven?

Bevan is my player of the season. Re harkness, i think he would be in with a shout for most improved player of the season.

I think Simon Russell or Russ Penn would win most improved.

Harkness - well yes, he has improved, but I'll argue this point till the cows come home. If I played league football week in, week out I'd improve immensely. Would not stop me from being a shower though...

crieghton, there wek n week out , gets on with the job, no messing around...he has made a couple of errors, but with number of games played
Bevan, yes good goalkeeper, but those kicks and running out of the area to'head' the ball has cost us a couple of games
Penn...good player, but he has to learn to control himself...tooo many cards
Hurran....give him another couple of seasons...
Russell was going to vote for him, and resulted to a flick of a coin to decide him or Creighton, some of the games he has played this season have been brill....
apart from these 4 ...no one stood out other than doing their job
youth team....THE WAY FORWARD

grassroots is where it all starts, support it before it's too late

Oh come on Spirals. For every minor mistake Bevan has made, he has trebled that by keeping us in games

I can't think of a single GAME Bevan has cost us. Maybe one or two goals, yes, but games? He's been the difference on a number of occasions this season, particularly during our fantastic mid-season run.

On that basis, can I vote for Windsor?

That was me. Thought I had automatic log-in checked. Oh well.

Might have been best to leave Windsor with a secret admirer!
