Best thing about the WC - Watching two random countries play each other, when you would not tune in at any other point in time!

Re: World Cup 2014
So Blatter has decided that a ruling on the validity of the World Cup bids for 2018 and 2022 will be made in either September or October and that '...the matter will then be closed.' If the decision is to either hold re-runs of the votes or throw one, or both of them, out, then how can the matter possibly be closed? Unless, of course, he decides either, or both countries, are blameless. This guy appears to be a law unto himself, and no-one seems to have the balls to stand up to him. Is he Chairman of the Conference Board too?

Lucky, cheating Brazil won.
Nothing to fear there.

That's showing Croatia a great disservice. They played well in defence and do have some quality players.ograzebrook wrote:Lucky, cheating Brazil won.

Modric, Chorluka, Kovacic, Jelavic, Olic (ex bayern), Srna, Manzukic and lovren. That is the spine of a good premier league squad right there!

I'm still quite optimistic as long as we don't play on that pitch again. You could see lumps of sandy turf flying whenever the ball was kicked on the left side of the pitch.

Didn't think England played that badly, just need a different keeper, different right back, and Rooney playing in his best position, job done.

Also, they apparantly, "painted" the worst areas green, to make it look better!ograzebrook wrote:I'm still quite optimistic as long as we don't play on that pitch again. You could see lumps of sandy turf flying whenever the ball was kicked on the left side of the pitch.
