Player of the Season 2011-12 - Lee Vaughan

Post by Phil » Fri Apr 13, 2012 8:15 pm

It's that time again folks. The end of the season vote for your Player of the Season.

All of the MotM winners are listed along with the amount of times they've won in brackets. I'll update those as each remaining game poll ends.

The poll will run for thirty days to, hopefully, take into account the play-offs.

Get voting peeps and if you want to give a reason why you voted for your choice then please do.

It was a poor response to a poll. Shared by three players and only three votes.

Probably the 'low point' of the MotM polls on this site. Shame really because at least you get to see how the voting went

Demetriou for me, despite the fact he has been dropped for no reason at the moment

Vaughan would be a good second.

Matt hasnt played for 3 months

Haven't voted yet, completely stuck as who to vote for. Between Vaughan and Wright for me, no matter how good Matt has been seeing as he has played half the season means you can't vote him as player of the season. Same for Demetriou. Vaughan is often good, but bombs forward and leaves a massive gap in defence, Wright is either sublime or poor but he is our top scorer and his performances in the last two games may be crucial to us getting into the playoffs.
The best team we ever had- since i've been watching the Harriers (2002-)

'Demetriou for me, despite the fact he has been dropped for no reason at the moment.'

Unfortunately, since his injury, MD's performances tailed off quite a bit - the Telford (a) match being the low point - hence him being dropped by SB. Williams has performed very well in his absence and a few reckon he should be in the heart of the defence at the moment with MD at LB. Alternatively, as today, stick him wide left midfield if Johnson is injured.

Taking the season as whole though - I've gone for the Vaughnmeister as my PoS.

Player of the season - means just that, not someone who has done it for five/six games.

Overall I can't get away from the class and consistency of one player.

Yes, he does (perhaps did would be more appropriate) have his moments when he is(was) blinded by the red mist (Telford)

But over the course of the season he has been head and shoulders (metaphorically speaking) above his team mates.

Lee Vaughan gets the vote

I am amazed on 2 counts.

That we had 20 players getting MoM.

That Guinan and Breedon didn't get one.

Too early to vote IMO
