I was looking forward to hearing about Aleksei Notgudenov, the former Kazakh under 21 international who was on the books at Young Boys Berne before short spells at Preston and Fleetwood and Phil Journeyman, an experienced midfielder on loan from Bromley. Not going to be much fun tomorrow with the same old players.
No - I think you are right.

I think I might recognise 3 of our players tomorrow. Providing of course they have not gone back to their parent club at the end of their loan period.

9pts away from safety need 3 pts badly we have to significantly reduce this deficit before Christmas and if it gets any greater we could be effectively relegated by the end of Jan. Some tough games coming up namely Cheltenham twice Gateshead to name but three

Aye, his microphone levels are a bit off. Never seen the set-up for the commentary, but wonder if the microphone is turned up to 11. Rather him than BBC Surrey any day though!

That is a better feeling leaving the game with a smile.

Thought we got it a bit wrong early on when we moved it forward to the forwards when they had there back to goal, that was food and drink to their big centre backs. When we got behind them different story we actually looked useful.

Lovely run for the first goal , kept his cool and actually found a kiddy player, second was a really class finish.

I have given Murphy my MOTM but I would have no problem with any of the team getting it , they worked well together and looked like a team.

loads of plusses today, not least the attendance and a healthy following from The Shots which all helps.

Perhaps the biggest plus though(apart from the obvious) is the two consecutive clean sheets at Aggborough - which must help for the next home game v the Heed.

The other monster plus is the teams down in the relegation zone conspiring to help Harriers,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Not a great first half but whatever was said to them during the break certainly did the trick. Ben Whitfield's desire and willingness to never stop running is a credit to him and to Bournemouth. I wonder if we can have him for the rest of the season, not just until January 2nd?

Two very tricky away fixtures coming up and to be honest I would settle for a point from either.
It is only a matter of time before those good people at the National Lottery give me the jackpot that I so richly deserve.

I'm not sure that games in hand make that much difference to sides at the bottom as the average points gained per game is so low.

What is more important is the balance of fixtures and that is something we shouldn't lose sight of as our fixture list is massively imbalanced.

7 of our next 8 games are against sides currently in the top 5. After that run ends on Jan 9th we will then have a further 17 games left without a single fixture against a side currently in the top 5. No other side will have a run in like that.

It is quite likely that we won't get a significant number of points between now and Jan 9th but after that there is a definite opportunity to gain a bit of momentum. If we are in anything like the same relative position in the league at the start of the new year as we are in now then we will have a realistic chance of pulling of an unlikely escape.
