Just goes to show what we're up against in this league these days. The only positive is knowing full well that at some point in the future it will all go horrible wrong and Eastleigh will rapidly return to from whence they came.

Blind optimism but still feel we're going to win this tonight!

Is Davy Crockett still on their books?

In spite of our fine away performance and win at the weekend, confidence remains very low amongst the Prediction League faithful ahead of tonight's game. Only 3 have gone for a Harriers win, 3 more for the draw and 13 reckoning on an Eastleigh win. (A fair number still to post their predictions despite a few reminders).
White just edges Whitfield as the most likely opening scorer.

Point of order Colgofray, are we allowed to change our predictions? I'd gone for a 1-1 draw but am convinced we'll now win 3-1.

Fantastic result - well done to CG and the team.

Just looking at the form of the bottom eight in the league, there is only one team that has won it's last two matches ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

And Macca have lost their last three games.

Fantastic win, 6 from 6 now and confidence surely increasing. Looking at the next few, we could drag ourselves right back into safety contention. Hope that we can keep hold of Whitfield, he really does bring us that extra dimension-hope we are working on a deal to keep him until the season's end. Dare we dream..

Great game, well done lads, for me fane was fantastic , best match I have seen at home or away in a very long time.

They were a very physical side to say the least , tried their best to get Fane sent off , ref was poor and should of taken action sooner and may be should of brought the red card out for the sinacle fouls that we're going on.

This is plea to the fans in the east stand at least , we need to get behind the team the lads are low in confidence this season, they do not the supporters to get on their backs as they did try to let them score 2 goals to get back in the game, let's encourage and not criticise during the game.

It is so much better when cheer we them on and not moan at them.

At the end of the day 3 well earned and deserved points.

Whilst I've not been as critical of Colin Gordon as some on here I had become a Gordon-sceptic after the Guisely match.

Tonight I'd just like to thank Colin Gordon for giving us our football team back.

The last time I enjoyed a performance as much as that, Steve Burr was still manager and Andy Thorne, Dave Hockaday and Matthew Barnes-Homer would only have appeared in our worst nightmares.

I can't remember the last time I saw a Harriers midfield so thoroughly boss a game the way they did in the first half (it was inevitable that Eastleigh would be tighter after the break). The three French lads are a joy to watch, confident on the ball, strong, creative and it must be doing Maxwell the world of good to be playing alongside them after having to carry the midfield until now.

I missed the first goal, arriving a couple of minutes late. The second was well made and well taken. The third? Pinch me, I'm dreaming! Astonishing!

Terrific team spirit to come back after Eastleigh equalised. And towards the end we were running that rather leaden back-four ragged.

The only thing that would have made the evening even more memorable would have been Constable getting himself sent off.

A wonderful night in the great tradition of wonderful Harriers' nights.
