Well, if we ever wear those yellow away shirts again, the claims of 'it's like watching Brazil' will be much more accurate.....

That's pretty brave of you posting this, I don't think I could admit to having a 'semi' while watching 'Brokeback Mountain' !!!!!!!

Well, last nights game was dull - even if we had not been spoiled the night before.

But Swarez !!!! what a idiot probably the best player in the world on his day. Must be mentally deficient Must be banned for a very long time if not life. No one apart from the most diehard Liverpool fan can possible condone what he has done. Over to you FIFA
Why not wash their hands of him now by taking the moral high ground (never difficult at Anfield- and good PR) calling his behaviour 'unacceptable' and selling him on for a fat fee?
As for any World Cup ban, Suarez knows Uruguay arent going to win the thing, so stuff the international aspirations for country and fans, this is business.
Suarez gets his move
Liverpool get some money
Someone else (La Liga?) gets the problem
Everyone's happy and football takes another grubby crawl through the gutter.

Re: World Cup 2014
I fully expect Germany to be crowned 'Kings of the Football World' in Brazil tomorrow - one way or the other (Pens)
But why are Germany so good when it comes to playing in World Cups??
1966 was a turning point and ever since then they seem to do better than England, although we did beat them 5-1 in Munich in the 2002 qualifier under Sven - but other than that, Germany seem to be streets ahead of us now - Germany have progressed their game and England have stood still.

Do they have B teams playing in the lower leagues?
That's apparently the way to improve a nation's international prospects.

Re: World Cup 2014
cheers Mike- 6 to 1 then........
See my point though? why do promising english players come right through the ranks of english international football and then fail to graduate to the full squad?

Absolutely.
Although some under 21's have progressed into the first team more recently.
Remains to be seen how Hodgson 'manages' their progress.

Yes a top finish, i'm glad the Germans won. Argentina have been involved in some very boring games and did not deserve to win it ahead of Germany.redandwhitemike wrote:Fabulous finish by Gotze - truly worthy of winning the World Cup
