Perhaps I am getting picky but didn't think that performance matched some of the previous ones. Having started really brightly, we seemed sloppy in possession in the first half and Telford worked hard to close us down. Could easily have been 1-1 at half time if the ref had given the penalty to Telford (I was too far away in the East stand to have a clear view of it but it looked as though it could have been given).
That said, once the second goal went in, we were in virtually total control and Telford looked very limited.
Shouldn't complain about a 3 - 0 home win - particularly with the quality of the second and third goals - but still lacking fire power up front. Hemmo had a shocker.

Prior to the Chorley game it felt a bit make or break for the season, bearing in mind our December fixture list: South Shields, Fylde, Hereford and Telford.
Based on our season at that point you probably would have taken 6 or 7 points as being a reasonable return. That would have left us floundering around the bottom end of the playoff spots.
Somehow we’ve won all of them. It’s just incredible and hats off to Murray - he says it’s water off a duck’s back but he did not look a happy man a few weeks ago.
We have got to keep our foot on the gas now. Easier said than done but putting three past a decent Telford team can only be good for confidence.

That's Ricardo Dinanga. Marcus plays for Bromley (sometimes)harry211 wrote: Tue Dec 30, 2025 7:26 pm A virus in the Telford camp. Ex-Harriers Dinanga and Stenson start.
Wonder if he's up for a loan?
Think I’m right in saying we only had one close season signing (Obi) in the starting XI last night. The rest were regulars from last season plus the three exceptional ‘in-season’ signings: Evans, Cooper and Kalambayi. Heaven and earth need to be moved to sign up Cooper and Kalambayi for the rest of the season. What’s Evans’ status?
For all the criticism of Murray’s pre-season recruitment he’s redeemed himself either these three.

Evans did get injured in a preseason match with us if he hadn't I'd imagine he'd have signed in preseason.Krasnyi wrote: Wed Dec 31, 2025 10:51 am Think I’m right in saying we only had one close season signing (Obi) in the starting XI last night. I saw a post on Facebook Kalambyai is staying until the end of the season.
And Yeovil can't seem to stand Cooper so I'd imagine he stays here

That is correct re Obi being the only summer signing to have featured. Tunni was another prior to his injury and has since lost his place to Owen Evans. To think we almost kept Kai Innocent instead of Evans. Thank God he rejected our deal.
Says lot with regards to comparing mid season to pre season signings. None of the injured players get in this 11 for me now. Mid season signings, and decision making, have been class.
I think Cooper and PK are 'surplus to requirements' at their parent clubs though its funding of extending their deals which is the question. I hear the recent loans have been funded via Lane or sponsors as Murray in the summer apparently spunked the budget. Hense the size of the squad and him saying yesterday that a few need to be moved on. I suspect Kurt and Tunni will be. Tunni not even inthe squad yesterday. There has been no takers for TSS who has been made available I hear. Imagine Bird will be off on loan when fit, same with Clarke who only seems to fit certain types of games/conditions. Cant be chopping and changing teams based on that.
Re the Hemmo critisism I imagine he was one of them carrying a knock last night. Surprised he was playing given he clearly looked in discomfort Boxing Day.

Saw some Telford fans saying it was obviously offside for Obi's goal the 2nd camera angle shows it was a perfectly timed run

Strikes me that the way Obi took his goal, maybe AM should give him a few games up front and give AMS a rest?
"We're all just amateurs, doing our best....." Richard Lane, Jan 2022.
Devine's goal an absolute peach. Incredible cross from Davis. Quality.
AMS has to get credit for the cushioned header to Obi for the first goal. Quality again!
It feels like we have a real identity again from the highlights & it's exciting times to be a Harriers fan.
Well done to AM for turning things around & here's to an interesting 2026!

With a bit of tongue in cheek, perhaps Murray's best signing was getting Stuart Watkiss on board. The turnaround in form and the change in mood around the club pretty much dates from the week that he became involved. Credit to Murray but he's not doing it on his own.
