We all know that Hemmo is a streak player. When he's hot, the team is hot. He was the catalyst for the promotion under Russ Penn, as were his goals for the surge under Phil Brown last season. His through pass to Owen Evans for the first goal was sublime.
In the tough upcoming away games in the north-east we might be attacking more on the counter and not trying to prise open packed defences. If Jack Clarke stays fit and is picked to play, perhaps he can slot the ball through on the deck to Hemmo who last season was superb going through one on one against opposition keepers. For me it is essential that we keep Hemmo.
