Whilst I've not been as critical of Colin Gordon as some on here I had become a Gordon-sceptic after the Guisely match.
Tonight I'd just like to thank Colin Gordon for giving us our football team back.
The last time I enjoyed a performance as much as that, Steve Burr was still manager and Andy Thorne, Dave Hockaday and Matthew Barnes-Homer would only have appeared in our worst nightmares.
I can't remember the last time I saw a Harriers midfield so thoroughly boss a game the way they did in the first half (it was inevitable that Eastleigh would be tighter after the break). The three French lads are a joy to watch, confident on the ball, strong, creative and it must be doing Maxwell the world of good to be playing alongside them after having to carry the midfield until now.
I missed the first goal, arriving a couple of minutes late. The second was well made and well taken. The third? Pinch me, I'm dreaming! Astonishing!
Terrific team spirit to come back after Eastleigh equalised. And towards the end we were running that rather leaden back-four ragged.
The only thing that would have made the evening even more memorable would have been Constable getting himself sent off.
A wonderful night in the great tradition of wonderful Harriers' nights.
