Very interesting highlights. The goals were very formulaic; long, but accurate passes forward and high from around the half way line to forwards, then the other forwards pile forward in support looking for a pass or knock down.

It look rehearsed and its very effective.

As with Blyth, they may not be full time, but they are efficient with their use of energy and capable of exploding forward with pace.

The highlights appear to be very kind to us - I thought it was far more one sided and whilst their goals may be referred to as being very formulaic we never even looked like coping with it.

7 nil to Chorley on aggregate this season so far (just in case we meet them in the play-offs) a highly effective part-time team and I do wonder why our full time team seem to be totally outplayed by them.

Just to be clear, formulaic is certainly not a critisism. It implies that they have done lots of practice and are capable of executing it in games. It's a shame our homework was not enough to mitigate this.

Totally agree - they had a game plan and set of tactics to which we had no answer and should we meet them in the play-offs - penny to a pound they will employ the very same game plan and tactics - so if nothing else we will know what is coming.

Worrying how it seemed to be simple, effective, and we were powerless to stop it. Bit naive or lacking scouting on our part?
The best team we ever had- since i've been watching the Harriers (2002-)

Their part-time players may be good enough for two leagues above, some of them - but it may be the case they are better off financially to be part-time and combine with their other jobs. Whereas our full-time professionals have found their level. Which is why part-time is better suited to this division. But, part-time does not fit in with the ethos of the educational side of the business or CG's longer term financial aspirations. Spennymoor next, another test which I am not confident about. I take my hat off to those of you who follow the team away.

Why are Horsfall and Johnson both running away from their striker for the first goal?

I think you hit the nail firmly on the head there and this is why we may remain in this league for some time unless there's a change to Colin's vision.

Did not go. But if we are going to play Penn, Daniels and Johnson in the same team we are basically playing with 8 men!

Defensive basics lacking. The first goal set the tone by the looks. A simple long ball, Horsfall needs to just take a few steps back, anticipate it, head it, clear it, instead he watches the ball go over his head and the forward nips in behind him. Lack of concentration early on and in such a big game. Bet MY blew a gasket.

They are not the only theee not up to playing for a team hoping for promotion. Defence dreadful all season. Went Saturday and but for Brandon it could have been a lot more. Penn was the best of the rest Saturday imo
