With a bit of tongue in cheek, perhaps Murray's best signing was getting Stuart Watkiss on board. The turnaround in form and the change in mood around the club pretty much dates from the week that he became involved. Credit to Murray but he's not doing it on his own.
I think this is spot on.
I noted Harry’s post a few days ago about Watkiss’s accommodation issues with concern.
I don’t know how much a long term rental of a room at a local Travelodge etc, or a one bed flat, would be, but given our upturn in results recently, if it is necessary, I think it would be a worthwhile investment by the club.
HNY all BTW!

Doesn't AM still live in Derby? How does he cope with the travelling.

The same way PB did from Oxfordshire Phil, I presume. It's a similar distance.

Roughly an hour and 30 in the car. A few people do similar commutes. Imagine his driving won't be at rush hour either.

When you're only 5 games from the sack most coaches rent rather than buy.........

Not sure how the illness in the Telford camp affected their side but sounds like they may have been missing a few key players.
Well worth the 3-0 win and should probably have been more.
Telford unlucky not to get a penalty in that first half.
The midfield trio of Davis, Cooper and Reynolds were really solid.
David Davis MOTM for me. Lovely controlled performance and you can really see that he’s played at a higher level at times. The drop of the shoulder and calmness on the ball is great to see. Got to get Cooper signed up for the season.
Enjoyable game.
As a few have said, I was expecting more home fans. Did the club do enough to promote the game?

I was reminded, watching the highlights, that three times in the first half Devine was unmarked in the 18-yard box screaming for the ball when team-mates chose to go for goal themselves and shot wide or had their efforts blocked. By the third time he was clearly very frustrated. He's staying wide to offer the option of a pass but there's no point if the others ignore him. The combination of Digger's pinpoint cross and Devine's volley for the third goal proved how potent having him out there can be; let's hope they make more of him in the future.

I noticed that too. Devine is a good striker of the ball and I can understand his frustration as he was well placed to shoot. He took his goal superbly and once again showed that he can finish when given the opportunity.

I try and watch the warm up shooting drills whenever I can. Accepting it’s not in a match situation, but to my eye the two best at these drills are Devine and Willoughby.

Noticeable on the video that Reece was free on at least 2 other occasions, unmarked at the far post, but the pass was never made to him.

Given we competed with Arsenal v Villa, plus the Wolves match on TV, and fewer children attend evening games, I thought it was a decent crowd!
