We are pencilled in to play York on 13th March but this date is also a Trophy date if we or City progress to the next round.

LIMITED CHOICE AS YORK CITY WEIGH UP FIXTURE LIST
By Dave Flett, from the York Press
Altrincham are the most likely opponents should York City decide to
rearrange a League fixture for next Tuesday night. The FA Trophy Third
Round Replay between Gateshead and Barrow on that evening means City’s
home match with the latter, scheduled for the same date, has been
postponed. On hearing the news, club secretary Nick Bassett stressed the
club could consider bringing another fixture forward to replace Barrow
but, with 18 Blue Square Premier sides already in action on February 9,
the options are limited. Of the five other possible opponents, City will
have played both Crawley and Kettering twice after this weekend.
Kidderminster and Wimbledon are also both free and are currently scheduled
to play Martin Foyle’s men on the two Saturday dates in March set aside
for the FA Trophy Semi-Finals. With City and Kidderminster having both
made it to the competition’s last eight, one or both of those games are
under threat anyway, but whether the clubs would be amenable to switching
a weekend game to midweek on a hypothetical basis is doubtful. The
Minstermen are yet to meet Altrincham, home or away however, with the
Bootham Crescent clash set for Easter Monday, April 5, and the return
match on Tuesday, April 20.
But, should City decide not to rearrange a game for next Tuesday or seven
days later when the reserves are due to host Guisborough in the North
Riding Senior Cup, The Press believes there might still be no need for
more than one midweek fixture in any week leading up to the end of the
season even if the club reach the last four of the Trophy.
The only combination of fixtures that would ensure that scenario is: March
16, Wimbledon (h); March 23 – Kidderminster (a); March 30 – Barrow (h);
April 13 – Luton (h). |

| If York progress and the unthinkable happens then i'm pretty sure we wouldn't have a game on this day at all, as all of our Tuesday night opponents are playing against teams out of the Trophy that day |
