Wolves friendly arranged

The Harriers have managed to arrange a crowd pleasing friendly against near neighbours Wolves.

Wolves, who again failed to reach the Premier League last season have agreed to send a team to Aggborough on Wednesday July 24th. The kick off will be at 7:45pm.

They will probably send a mainly reserve team but could include Colin Larkin in the side too.

Another big name team coming to Aggborough pre-season will be the 3rd Division play-off winners and giants of the 2nd Division, Cheltenham Town. This has been arranged for Saturday August 3rd.

Other friendlies have been arranged but the visit of Cardiff City that was pencilled in for July 31st has now been called off due to a disagreement on the date.

The remaining fixtures are;

  • July 13th. Stratford Town (a)
  • July 15th. Evesham Utd (a)
  • July 19th. Reading (h)
  • July 21st. Solihull Borough (a)
  • July 27th. Worcester City (a)

  • The unusual one here is the Solihull game which, going by the date, is to be played on a Sunday. This will probably be corrected.

    Also being arranged is a game at Telford Utd during the first week in August but this has yet to be confirmed.
    This looks like being a good chance to see how much the old Bucks Head ground has improved since we last played them 2 years ago.

    I shall be doing a full list of friendlies once all dates have been settled.
