  • Paul Webb linked with Rovers

Harriers stalwart Paul Webb has been linked with the vacant managers hotseat at faded local side Bromsgrove Rovers, who now play in the Midland Alliance League.

Last night the Rovers board dispensed with the services of Steve Daniels after a run of results that have found them in their best league position (6th) for many years, 'er yes !!

Earlier in the week Daniels had bought in ex-Stourbridge boss Mark Harrison and former Willenhall Town manager Martin Thomas as his new coaches but they have both now left along with their mentor.

At the moment ex-Harrier Jon Ford has been put in charge of the club.
Along with Webby another former Harrier, Phil Mullen who is the Evesham manager, has also been connected with the rumours.

Webby, who will be out of contract at Aggborough in the summer, played for Bromsgrove before he joined the Harriers in 1994.

The Bromsgrove board are expected to make an announcement soon but the chairman Tom Herbert said:
"We need an experienced manager but this is a big club and we won't have any trouble in filling the vacancy."

That could be a contender for 'quote of the week'
