  • is drewe on his way out?

Following rumours that surfaced at the start of the week that Drewe Broughton was attracting the attentions of Oxford Utd it now looks likely that these rumours were true.

At first it was denied by both Jan and Lionel that there was any foundation in them, the only thing Lionel said was that if he was to go it would not be for less that £75,000.

Now, according to reports emanating from Oxford, their manager is very interested in signing him although he is not at the top of their list.

Mark Wright told the Oxford Mail:
"Drewe Broughton is somebody I like.
He's only 22-23yrs old, which is the right sort of age, and he holds the ball up well."

Wright then went on to say that he had not yet made an offer for Drewe and that he would rather keep hold of his existing first choice striker, Andy Scott.

If Scott did go then he would be expected to command a higher value than Broughton.

Mr Newton responded that the Harriers have yet to have any contact with Oxford about this.
