  • first friendly at bromsgrove tomorrow
  • Well that wasn't long was it!

What seemed the shortest close season for years ends tomorrow with the first of our friendly games at old sparring partners, Bromsgrove Rovers.

It was only a few years ago that we were enjoying the experience of being beaten at home during the Christmas holiday period by our illustrious neighbours.

Things have changed since then with the Harriers up in the Football League and the 'Pride of Worcestershire' down amongst the deadmen in the lower reaches of the pyramid.

At least if we lose it won't matter. It's only a friendly.

As for who will be getting a run out thats anyones guess.

We know that there should be first appearances in Harriers colours for Sam Shilton and Danny Williams and maybe some triallists.

At the club at the moment undergoing trials are Darren Middleton who was on trial here last season, Craig Dean who has just returned from a spell in America and Ian Joey who has come from, no not Australia, Tranmere.

Perhaps the most interesting appearance will be the rare sighting of Ian Foster.

Or will he still be injured.

Lets hope not, we are woefully short of strikers in the squad. This is somewhere that Jan must strengthen in the weeks before the season proper starts.
