  • harriers win at bromsgrove
  • Harriers won their first friendly of the new season at Bromsgrove today with goals from Drewe Broughton in the first half and Stewart Hadley and Tony Bird in the second.

Jan played two different teams in each half with the second half team looking much brighter than the one they kicked off with.

In the first half chances were going begging and it was starting to look not unlike last season when we spent all of the game passing the ball around and ending up being terrified of having a crack at goal.

Towards the end of the half we missed three easy chances from Broughton, Middleton and Faulds.

The second half was a different affair.

Tony Bird (looking superfit) and Andy Ducros were having the freedom of the park to send in cross after cross for Hadley to get on the end of.

They weren't the only ones looking sharp though, Corbett, Doyle, Bennett, M-O in fact all the second half side looked much sharper than the first half version.

Which version does Jan go with?

    First half Harriers:
Westhead, Clarkson, Joey, Webb, Hinton, Shail, Davies, Faulds, Broughton, Middleton, Shilton

    Second half Harriers:
Westhead, Medou-Otye, Ayres, Smith, Stamps, Bird, Bennett, Doyle, Corbett, Ducros, Hadley.
