  • Harriers have signed young striker from troubled Coventry based electronics company Marconi.
    Matthew Lewis is a 6ft 17 yr old with a phenomenal scoring record of 52 goals last season in Marconi's youth and first teams.

    The Reds youth team coach Ian Britton has been watching him for the past 12 months and the club have now offered Lewis a 3yr contract.

    Jan is pleased that we have managed to attract a young player with such potential to Aggborough;
    "We are certain we have a real star of the future.

    I am so pleased he has agreed to come here as we have been chasing him for a long, long time and although he is still eight months short of his 18th birthday I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't knocking on the first team door before the end of the season.

    He has real potential. He's tall, very quick and more importaFLPTV2000y he has the ability to pass the ball into the back of the net."
