Harriers new signing from Swansea City, Steve Jones, did a complete turnaround today and changed his mind about joining the Reds.

After agreeing to come and join us last Friday he is said to have contacted Jan over the weekend and told him that he had changed his mind and could get a better deal elsewhere.

It is unlikely that he will be re-joining his first club, Cheltenham, because they have just signed Keith Hill from Rochdale and are not looking for any more defenders.

Jan didn't seem too worried by the turn of events.

"It's very disappointing, sometime between agreeing to sign for us on Friday and today he has had a 'better' offer and has decided not to come here.
He didn't really give me a reason though he didn't deny he had another club lined up.

That's football unfortunately!"
