Derby County show interest in Abdou Sall

Relegated Derby County are the latest club to show an interest in a Harriers player and this time it's our tall Frenchman, Abdou Sall.

According to the Express & Star and Abdou's agent, Mark Cooper, Derby have been watching him for quite a while now and are about to make an offer for him.
Also interested are Rushden and to a lesser extent Hull City.

Personally I think that if Derby are really interested and they offered a large enough sum + sell on fee then I can't see this board turning the chance of some money down.
As for the other two they're non starters.

Abdou made his debut with a goal against York City back in October last year and since then has become a firm crowd favourite with his short shorts, powerful headers and sudden runs from midfield that terrify opposing defences.
He signed a contract in the New Year and this has one more year to run.

The club have so far not commented on this paper talk although earlier today chairman Colin Youngjohns rubbished the talk of Craig Hinton going to Stockport County by saying that it was also paper talk even though Stockport manager Carlton Palmer had said that he had been in contact with the Harriers.

If he was to go then I would expect a similar valuation to Hinton, £250,000.
