  • broughton deal turns moody

The prospect of Drewe Broughton signing for Oxford Utd has receded tonight with the news that the U's have today re-signed their former striker Paul Moody from Millwall for £150,000.

Broughton was down in Oxford today for talks with their Chairman, Firoz Kassam, but it is believed that they could not agree on the personal details.

The deal was thought to be for £70,000 which would have been in 5 stages. A £50,000 initial payment and then £5,000 for every 20 games after that.

That would work out as being two years before we would have received the full payment.

Not a good deal at all!

Broughton is now expected to join the team at Hartlepool to add extra firepower to the team.
