Harriers lift silver

Although they lost 1-0 to Moor Green in the Worcester Senior Cup last night the Harriers still lifted their only silverware of the season with a 2-1 aggregate win.

In a match that turned out to be a typical end of season game the only goal was scored by former Worcester City striker Danny Scheppel after twenty minutes when he ran onto a perfect through ball from Martin Myers.

For the rest of the half the Harriers were unable to pull the goal back after shots from Shilton, Bennett, Broughton and Ducros were either just short of the target or saved by the Moor Green keeper, Rachael.

In the second half the game deteriorated into a turgid midfield affair with the only other efforts of note came from Broughton for the Reds and Marvin Blake for the Moor's.

Harriers:
Brock, Smith, Stamps, Ayres, Sall, Williams, Bennett, Doyle, Broughton, Ducros, Shilton.
Subs:
Danby, Lewis, Khela, Corbett, Lowar.

Moor Green:
Rachel, Robinson, Mulholland, Peer, Joyce, Stanley, Myers, Lamey, Blake M, Blake L, Scheppel.
Subs:
Gayle, Joyce M, Anstiss, Softley and Petty.

Att: 539
