Britton confirmed as Harriers boss

After the Moor Green game last night caretaker manager Ian Britton was finally confirmed as the new full time Harriers boss.

After weeks of speculation with such illustrious names as Ray Graydon, Nigel Clough and Jake King? being bandied about the clubs board decided to play it safe and to promote from within.

Britton has surprisingly been given a two year contract by the club after everyone else thought that he would be given a short contract until he had proved that he was capable of doing a job in the 3rd division.

After the announcement Britton said to the official website:
"I am so pleased to have been given the opportunity to take the club forward."

The Harriers chairman, Colin Youngjohns, also spoke to the official website saying:
"I have every confidence in Brit.
He's been a fine 'Harrier' for many years. He is the right man to take us forward.

I appeal to everyone connected with the club to get right behind Ian, right from the off."

Britton will be appointing an assistant manager later this summer before the start of the new season.
