  • webby joins local tractor boys

    Harriers hero Paul Webb has joined non league, (rub it in Phil), Hereford Utd on a months loan.

    He joins former Harriers colleague Matt Clarke at Edgar St and his first game will be today at Stalybridge Celtic.

    Webby, who is now 33yrs old, has not played in the first team so far this season, apart from in two friendlies against Bromsgrove and Evesham.
    He is unlikely to feature in the first team at all this season, barring miracles, so this is seen as a way of keeping him match fit just in case.

    Speaking to the official site, once he had managed to get on it, Jan Molby said;

    "The period at Hereford should do him the world of good.
    Webby is the type of player that needs matches to get fit and I think he has around eight matches in the next month at Hereford in which he can do that.

    Webby knows he has a lot of work to do to push himself back into contention here and playing reserve football will not help his case.

    I know Graham Turner is a big fan of his and I’m confident he will do a good job there".

    The loan is not expected to be made permanent.

    The only other news from camp is that 'bad boy' Parfait Medou-Otye will miss the games against Mansfield, Rochdale and Plymouth after being sent off last Saturday against Darlington.
