  • tommy heads for home, finally

Reds favourite, Thomas Skovbjerg, has given up trying to find a club in this country and will now be returning home to Denmark along with his girl friend.

He says that he has no intention of playing football professionally again.

He was released by the Harriers at the end of last season after being out with an injury for over a year. He made his re-appearance against Lincoln City at Aggborough and then went on to make 8 more appearances including away at Shrewsbury when he scored a stunning goal and ripped the Shrews defence to pieces.

It is believed that the reason for his contract not being renewed was an argument over his wages, the theory is that he was still on Conference wages and he wanted equality with others at the club.

It's a pity that the club and Tommy couldn't have thrashed something out between them. He's the type of player that we have missed so far this season.
