  • no return for the duke

    It should have been a return to Nuneaton today for Andy Ducros but the problem was he didn't play, come to that neither did many of the first team.

    Jan Molby decided that this would be a low key friendly with another run out for the reserves, the only first teamers being Doyle, Williams and Shilton.

    In front of a crowd numbering around 600 the Harriers protege, Matt Lewis, grabbed another goal to add to the one he scored at the Swifts last Monday.

    Two minutes later Nuneaton had drawn level again when they were awarded a controversial penalty after Ian Clarkson bought down a Nuneaton player two yards outside the area.

    McGregor stepped up to take it but it was pushed back out into him by Murphy and he made no mistake the second time round.

    It will be interesting to see the team that lines up against a lesser side, Halesowen Town, on Monday evening.

    Harriers;
    Murphy, Clarkson, Joy, Bennett, Shail, Ayres, Doyle (Webb), Williams (Davies), Corbett, Lewis, Shilton (Faulds).
