  • blake out with hamstring

Mark Blake has been added to the Harriers ever growing injury list after being taken off against his old club, Mansfield, last Saturday.

He joins Scott Stamps, who aggravated an ankle injury in the same game. This is the one he picked up against Hull on Bank Holiday Monday.

Already on the defenders injury list is Lee Ayres with a broken toe and Mark Shail who also has a hamstring and knee injury.

Parfait Medou-Otye will be serving the second day of his three match ban so will not be available until the Shrewsbury game on Sept 18th.

This leaves us with only two recognised fullbacks, Ian Clarkson and Ian Joy, for this Saturdays clash at league leaders Rochdale.
Jans only other choices in this department are Adie Smith and the untried Abdou Ahmed Sall or the 18yr old defender, Gareth Picknell, he signed from Bloxwich earlier this week.

Picknell is one for the future though so won't be considered.

Unless Clarkson and Joy get injured I expect these will be the one's to line up at Spotland, and after Clarksons Man of the Match awards on almost every Harriers website last Saturday then I don't see that Jan Molby has much choice.
