  • The legend Paul Webb has left the building

The end has finally come for fans favourite Paul Webb.

Along with Mark Shail, Paul has been told that his contract will not be renewed at the end of this season and he is free to find another club.

Webby first joined the Harriers in 1994 in a £17,500 transfer from Bromsgrove Rovers and was an ever present in our non-league days.

Promotion to the League came a bit too late for Paul and, although he turned full time and left his daytime job as a Warehouse Manager, he never really made it into the first team again.

He has recently had a successful loan spell at Hereford Utd and could well join them for the rest of the season.

Webby spoke to the official website after the announcement:
"I'm obviously sad to be leaving but it had to happen some time.
I have had a fantastic time here and I wish the club and its fans the best of luck in the future."

Mark Shail joined the Reds in 2000 from Bristol City as one of Jan's signings for our first term of League action.

He has also been out of favour since the emergence of Lee Ayres and Abdou Sall and has found himself way down the starting list.

It is not known what his future plans are but he may look for a team nearer his Bristol home.

They will be at the Luton game tomorrow night so lets make it a big night for both of them and give both of them a big cheer.
