Walsall youth in on loan

The Harriers have taken Walsall's rising star, Andrew Bishop, on loan for one month.  The 20yr old striker/forward has joined Harriers on an initial one month loan from the 1st Division side after impressing the Harriers boss Ian Britton who has been watching him for some time now while he's been playing for the Walsall reserve and youth sides.

Andy Bishop Bishop signed a professional contract with the Saddlers last season, but is yet to break into the first team.

Andy said to the official Walsall website.
"I am looking forward to going to Kidderminster and showing people what I can do.
It will be a real challenge, but one I intend to take with both hands."

Andy is currently well down the pecking order at the Bescot Stadium, largely due to the form of the Brazilian player,Junior, and Jorge Leitao, and is keen to gain first team experience.

Saddlers manager Colin Lee is pleased that he has come to Aggborough on loan and sees it as away to help him break into the first team in the long run.
"This move is all part of his development programme.
I am pleased that we have been able to fix him up with a local team where he will be able to get first team football so that we can monitor his progress at close quarters."

Bishop, a big 6ft forward, goes straight into the squad for tomorrow night's re-arranged game at Torquay United.

Now whatever happened to Matt Lewis?
