Get ready for a Royal visit

We may not have had a visit by the Queen before the Jubilee celebrations or been chosen as a stop on the Jubilee Torch run but we can welcome Royalty to Aggborough tonight in the shape of 1st Division Reading.  For those of you that are thinking, durrr!, Reading are also known as the Royals.

After two low key friendly games against Stratford and Evesham this is our first big test of the coming season.  Reading are expected to bring a full 1st team line-up that should include the likes of Jamie Cureton, John Salako, Adrian Viveash and the bad penny also known as Nathan Tyson.  Remember him? he was Brockies sparring partner in the Swanseas game last season and he was also the scorer of one of the goals in our 2-1 defeat at Cheltenham towards the end of last season.

Reading have a few minor injuries, Whitbread, Mackie and Henderson all out with the usual pre-season injuries but they are coming expecting a tough game:
"They're a professional side and well organised, so we'll have to be at the races and I think we are.  The boys are looking good."  said gaffer, Alan Pardew to the official Reading website today.

We shall be without Matt Lewis tonight.  He will be staying at Villa for the next two weeks on trial.

There are a few minor knocks for Sean Parrish, Bo Henriksen, Lee Ayres, Drewe Broughton, Daire Doyle, Ian Foster (that all!) but they should all be fit along with Andy Ducros and Craig Hinton who are both feeling the effects of pre-season training and the heat.

Sunday sees us traveling to Solihull for another low key friendly with a 3:00pm kick off.
Squad unknown until after tonights game.
