Clarkson joins the Borough

Ex Harriers defender Ian Clarkson has joined Conference side Nuneaton Borough on a 2yr contract.

Ian joined the Harriers in November 1999 and became the club captain but was released at the end of the 2002 season.

Just before he left the club he had been made assistant manager to caretaker manager Ian Britton and he was thought to be on the shortlist for the job of new manager.  This never materialised and instead he was released after rumours of high wage demands.

In his spare time Clarkson also writes for the media along with writing for the Give Me Football website.

Also on the move soon is thought to be Colin Larkin who was on loan here last season.

He has been the subject of a £130,000 offer from newly promoted Mansfield Town.

Dave Jones, the Wolves manager, is said to be seriously considering the offer and will decide within the next few days.
