More on the Trust launch

This is the agenda for Saturday:

Doors Open 5:00pm.  The bar will also be open for drinks and then, after a bit of milling about discussing the win against Scunthorpe and reading the contents of your welcome packs, Alan Shepherd will open the meeting at 5:30.

After an opening speech from him there will be a short speech from either Dave Binns or Katie Wright from Supporters Direct.  Supporters Direct is the umbrella organisation that governs all supporters trusts.

Next up will be speeches from the floor from Dr Richard Taylor MP and the Chairman of WFDC Mr Howard Martin.

At just after 6:00 the committee will be fielding any questions from the floor and hopefully answering them.

There will then be a final vote on the trust's formation and then after a short break for the raffle and a chance to re-charge glasses we will then be able to tell you about membership and what happens next.

The meeting should close at about 6:45 and on the way out you'll be able to hand in your membership forms.

Before the game committee members will be at the turnstiles handing out flyers and rattling donation buckets so please feel free to chat with one of us if you have any questions.

It goes without saying that this is an important meeting that will need all of you to attend or as many as possible.  If you want to see a strong KHFC doing well in the Football League and doing well financially then it's important that a trust is formed that will be able to help the club through the hard times as well as the good.

With many clubs having off field problems and being forced to call in administrators and fend off unwanted attention from developers it has been down to Supporters Trusts to save them.  Look at what is happening at York City right now for one good example.

Thankfully, in that respect, we're not needed at the Harriers but one day...?
