Bury
At Aggborough
Saturday
25/1/03 3:00pm
Bo Henriksen We entertain Bury for the first time ever at Aggborough tomorrow just weeks after our first ever league meeting at Bury just after Christmas.  Then the game ended as a 1-1 draw with our goal coming from a Bo Henriksen penalty.

Sadly Bury equalised late on with a goal from their leading scorer Jon Newby.

We did meet them two years ago at Bury in the LDV but we'll gloss over that because we lost.

Bury, like ourselves, are also going through a cost cutting period in an effort to get onto a sound financial base.  They asked their loyal supporters to pay the wages of Lenny Johnrose so that he would be able to stay at the club.  That didn't work out and he's now joined Swansea City on a non-contract basis.

Also being released is Liam George who joined the club from promoted Luton Town at the end of last season but he has not been successful at Gigg Lane and has been told that he can leave at the end of his contract on February 2nd.

With the money saved they have now bought back Colin Cramb for a month long spell and he's expected to make the line-up tomorrow.

Bury were also hoping for a small windfall on Wednesday evening if they had managed to beat Carlisle and reach the LDV Trophy final.  This never happened though because Carlisle scored the winning golden goal in extra time and spoilt Bury's chance.

Kenny Coleman We will be hoping to stage a recovery from that embarrassing defeat against Bromsgrove on Tuesday evening but we may have to do it without our talisman John Melligan.  He still hasn't recovered from his ankle injury and has been back at Molineux all week having treatment on it.

Coming back from injury are Dean Bennett (toe injury) and Sam Shilton (knee) while Bo Henriksen (groin), Sean Parrish (adductor muscle) and Kenny Coleman (groin) will all be having last minute tests to see if they'll be able to play.

This will be the last game that Drewe Broughton will miss and he should be back for the Oxford game at Aggborough on Tuesday.

It will be interesting to see if he comes back with renewed vigour and reclaims his place because, to be honest, Andy Bishop hasn't scored many goals while he's been out has he! it's about time he started coming up with the goods.
