After the disappointing result yesterday against Wrexham our season appears to be almost over.  Mathematically it's still possible to enter the play-offs but were now relying on all the other teams above us to lose their remaining games while we win all of ours.

That has now been made harder with the loss of JJ Melligan through either appendicitis or a black eye.  The club say it's the former yet other fans say that he was in the Arms before the game sporting a cut over his eye.  If it was appendicitis he'd have a job standing let alone holding a pint.

Drewe Broughton was said to have missed the game with flu.  If that's true or not we don't know.  He may be fit for Monday with a bit of luck because we missed him yesterday.

Bo will be seeing out the game from the sidelines again while he serves the last day of his ban and Adie Smith will almost certainly be out after leaving the field of play with his sprained knee.  To ask someone to play just 4 days after that kind of injury was asking for trouble.

I'd like to see a start for McAuley tomorrow.  Although he wasn't on the pitch very long he did show some nice touches and he could make up for the loss of JJ and Bo in that department.

York lost at Lincoln yesterday so that was one result that went our way.  That defeat came after only managing a draw at Carlisle in midweek so they'll be desperate to get back to winning ways again.

Defender Stuart Wise is suspended and apart from getting in keeper Phil Whitehead for the rest of the season from Reading I don't know what the injury situation is there so we'll leave it at that.

It's a nice day out but it's going to be a tough game.
