Harriers in London again for LDV

In this seasons LDV draw the Harriers have been drawn away again, and again it's in London.

Last year it was to Dagenham we ventured (it's near enough to be in London anyway) and we came back with a win thanks to goals from JJ Melligan, Sam Shilton and Dean Bennett.  In the next round we got Swindon at home in the infamous midnight game and went through with goals from JJ again, Drewe Broughton and a glorious late Golden Goal header from the troubled Abdou Sall.

Round Three and it was back to London for a harder game at 2nd Division Brentford.  Drewe got the only goal for us that night but we weren't downhearted, it was the furthest we had ever been in any cup competition since we joined the League back in 2000.

This time the God's haven't been so kind to us and we have been drawn away to last seasons finalists, QPR.  They're currently 5th in the table after being held to a goal less draw at home to Wycombe yesterday in front of a crowd of over 13,600.

QPR will not be easy but again it's a case of the scores being equal after 90 mins then it's Golden Goal again.  Anyone know where Abdou is?

The game should be played on Tuesday 14th October unless we're chosen to be on SKY TV and then it'll be on the Thursday morning at 10:15.

The rest of the Southern Section draw is as follows:

  • Yeovil Town v Bournemouth
  • Wycombe v Cambridge United
  • Hereford v Exeter
  • Cheltenham v Colchester
  • Dagenham & Redbridge v Leyton Orient
  • Boston United v Swindon Town
  • Southend United v Bristol Rovers
  • Barnet v Brentford
  • Oxford United v Rushden & Diamonds
  • Stevenage v Luton Town
  • Peterborough v Torquay
  • Brighton v Forest Green Rovers
  • Plymouth v Bristol City

  • Bury, Huddersfield, Northampton and Swansea City were all handed byes till the next round.
