Flynnie flies
In a shock announcement earlier today the club informed us that Sean Flynn had left the club after agreeing to have his contract cancelled.
The much travelled midfielder joined the Harriers a year ago and was appointed as captain almost straight away. He was an ever present last season playing in 51 games and scoring twice in the process.
The news of Sean's leaving comes as a surprise although he was dropped for the first time against Oxford. He did come on as a substitute against Bristol Rovers and Macclesfield last Saturday and there was no sign then that he would be packing his bags so soon.
He also signed a one year extension to his contract at the start of this season but with the influx of a new crop of younger midfielders he may have thought that his time was up at Aggborough and decided to finish his career elsewhere.
Before he joined us he had been a big favourite at many clubs including Coventry City, Derby County, Stoke City, West Brom and Tranmere Rovers.
Harriers-Online wish Sean all the best for the future and whenever I've spoken to him he has always had that cheeky grin on his face.
