Boldmere hit for 6

The Harriers went on a pre-season rampage in North Walsall today when they beat Boldmere St Michael 6-1.

After an opening own goal in just the second minute from the hapless Jon Price we could have gone on to score all 6 in the first half.  As it was we decided to split them equally between each half.

Our next goal came from the veteran John Williams who went on to grab a second just minutes later.  The first came from a Narada cross and the second from a Flynn and Lewis interchange.

Danny Williams, Dean Bennett, Kenny Coleman, Matt Gadsby and John Williams all missed other first half chances.

After a number of team changes for the Reds the Mikes pulled a goal back through Aaron Roberts who capitalised on a Stuart Brock mistake to roll the ball into an empty net.

It took until 15 minutes from the end of the game for the Harriers to add to their scoreline when Kyle Lightbourne rose high at the far post to head the ball home.  Two minutes later a pass from Mark Danks allowed Craig Wilding to place his shot under Gareth Murphy.

Danks grabbed one for himself minutes from the end when his shot beat Murphy just inside the post and Eliot Paschalis could have made it seven but he headed over wildly from Wildings cross in stoppage time.

If we wanted a good prep session for Leicester City on Monday then we wouldn't get better than this.
