Harriers sink Swifts

The Harriers played their near neighbours, Stourport Swifts, in the Worcester Senior Cup tonight and ran out winners thanks to a Robert Betts goal in the 56th minute.

This was a chance for the fringe players to show Jan Molby what they could do but there were still some familiar faces in there.  Scott Stamps, Danny Williams, Sean Parrish and Matt Gadsby were there along side Sam Shilton, John Danby and Rob Betts.

For many in the crowd of 383 this was a chance to see if Danby was any better a goal keeper than Stuart Brock following criticism of Brockie in some quarters.  Danby never really had much to do though so it was hard to draw any kind of conclusion from it.

Another one being watched closely by fans was the 'missing man' Rob Betts.  He had a decent game that would do his chances no harm and even though his goal was a simple tap in he took it well.

Harriers now progress to the semi finals.  Date and opponent to be announced one day.
