Molby raids Hull

To show that there's no bitterness from Jan Molby, after his dismissal from Hull City a year ago, he has now returned to his old club to borrow young defender Steve Burton for a month.

Steve Burton The initial one month loan is seen as being cover for injured the Scott Stamps.  Stamper will be out for at least a month after a leg injury gained in the 0-0 draw at Swansea City last Saturday.

Burton was also attracting the attention of Conference side Accrington Stanley after being told by his manager, Peter Taylor, that he would need to get more playing experience before staking a claim for a first team place at Hull.

"Steve is going to Kidderminster to gain some experience" said Taylor. "We've decided to let him go because it's a good opportunity for him to get some first-team action.
There was interest from Accrington Stanley and that would have been good for him, but if he can get experience in the league that's a lot better for everyone.

As far as I'm concerned he is going to be a very good player for us, but he's not getting a look in at the moment.
There's no way I'm going to allow him to go there on a full-time basis"

Burton is expected to figure in some way against Doncaster this coming Saturday.
