French farce

The Harriers latest signing, Mikael Antoine-Curier, has left the club after just 3 days and less that 30 minutes of play.

Unreliable French mercenary He came here on Friday on a non-contract basis after leaving 2nd Division Oldham that morning.  After doing well in the short time that we saw him it comes as something of a surprise that his agent then touted him to Rochdale.

The probable reason for the change of mind seems to be that he already lives in the Rochdale/Oldham area and this will save him having to travel or find digs in the Wyre Forest area.

When Ian Britton, the Kidderminster Harriers boss, signed MAC this was his quote:
"I've had a look at Mikael and he looks to be a decent player," said Britton.

"He's had a good start to the season and I know Oldham didn't want to lose him.   Finances dictate a lot of decisions they make up there.

I've spoken to Ian Bowyer, who had him at Nottingham Forest, and he said that he is sure he can make an impact in Third Division."

Now this quote from the Rochdale manager, Alan Buckley:
"I've had a look at Mickael (sic) and he looks to be a decent player.  He's had a good start to the season with Oldham and I know they didn't want to lose him.

I have spoken to Ian Bowyer who had Mickael (sic) at Nottingham Forest and he said he is sure he can make an impact in the Third Division.  He's a big lad who is quick and strong."

There seems to be a pattern developing here!  Is Bowyer his agent perchance?

The mercenaries first game for Rochdale will be at, guess where?  Lincoln City this Saturday.
