Tough draw with Tractor Boys
The Harriers have been unlucky in the draw for the League Cup again. The men with the balls have given us a tough away game at Premier hopefuls Ipswich Town following last years away draw to similarly placed Nottm Forest.
Now named the Carling Cup, after years of being known as the Worthless Cup, will it now be nick-named the Couldn't Careless Cup.
It seems that Ipswich fans are underwhelmed by the idea of our visit. These comments have been found on various Town m'boards:
'boring, dull, rubbish draw.' 'it's a couldn't give a feck type draw isn't it.'and 'Boring & dull competition - so any draw is pretty pointless - but hey at least its a new team to get 'excited' about.'
With a bit of luck we'll put up the same kind of showing as we did at Forest and give them a scare.
The game isn't going to be a sell out but just think if it was to be played at Aggborough. What a way to show off the new stand.
All games are due to be played during the week commencing August 11th and we should have a good chance of being the game that Sky choose to broadcast. Then again Rushden are playing West ham so it'll probably be them then.
