Two more go non-league

Following the signing of Matt Gadsby by Forest Green earlier in the week two more former Harriers players have taken the big step down the ladder this week.

The first of these was big John Williams who signed for Doc Martens side Bath City on Wednesday and then next day Adam Willis joined up with another ex Harrier, Matt Lewis, at Hinckley Utd.

John Williams It must be a disappointment for the 28yr old Willis who didn't really get a chance once Jan Molby came in and was sent out on loan to Burton Albion almost straight away.  His chance of making a good impression on Molby was thwarted following a car accident last Christmas in which he received whiplash injuries.

Adam Willis This never, allegedly, cleared up and he was released at the end of the season after making just 13 appearances for us.

John made more of an impact at Aggborough and his finest hour came in the FA Cup game against Wolves when he scored our only goal against the Premiership giants.

This move to Bath looks like being the final move in a long and illustrious career for the ex Coventry City forward having now reached the age of 36 and a total of 16 clubs altogether.

Another former player linked with a move is Mark Yates.  He is expected to be returning to one of his former clubs, Burnley, this time in a coaching role.

His former manager, Steve Cotterill, has just been appointed manager there and wants Mark to become his right hand man.
